| The National Institute of Health has stated that one in five children in America has dyslexia. As the only research-based dyslexia clinic in South Dakota, Excel Achievement is offering training to teachers on dyslexia remediation.
Classroom Remediation
(March 5 or June 11):
(In Sioux Falls,SD at Excel Achievement Center)
This course is targeted towards classroom teachers. (For RTI schools, this targets teaching strategies to students in the benchmark and strategic intervention levels.) Teachers will learn how to implement assessments and strategies into their current reading curriculum.

This three day training teaches an intensified reading
intervention using the highly recommended
Lindamood-Bell LiPS® and Seeing Stars® programs for
students identified as being at the intensive intervention
level. Teachers will be taught how to use assessment
information to meet the individual needs of
students and get them reading at grade level. Because
of the importance of getting results, teachers at this
level receive a minimum of one year of support. This
support includes: weekly lesson plans written for
teachers, unlimited calls and e-mails to the instructors,
six monthly DDN sessions (2 hours each).
